The city of Placerville, California, always has a lively cultural and entertainment program. Every month, there are a variety of events that attract residents and visitors from far and wide. Here are just a few of them:
Monthly, Third Saturday: Placerville Art Walk
From 17:00 to 21:00. Historic Downtown Placerville. The galleries and shops on Main Street regularly host art exhibits and night shopping every third Saturday of the month. Demonstrations, refreshments, music and more.
Spring Rhythm and Flower Festival
Exact date to be announced. Help celebrate Spring and support the “ground up” efforts to beautify Historic Main Street with blooming flower baskets at this important fundraising event. Music, food and more. Proceeds support Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises (MORE) and the Flower Power project on Historic Main Street.
May 4: “Girls’ Night Out” party.
From 18:00 to 21:00. It’s a fun Friday night party with activities that attract women. Historic Main Street merchants stay open late for shopping, entertainment, treasure hunts, games, craft demonstrations, raffles, health and beauty demonstrations, massages, restaurant specials, dance instruction, music, food, chocolate, olive oil sampling and more. Sponsored by the Placerville Center Association.
May 20: Hangtown Car Show.
From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Historic Main Street, Placerville. Organized by the Placerville Lions Club and the Placerville Downtown Association. Participation is limited to the number of seats available. Admission and parking are free to the public.

Saturday Farmers Market, 8:00-12:00
This event features fresh vegetables, flowers, and other goods from local farmers. On Historic Main Street in the Ivy House lot near Cedar Ravine.

Medieval Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m.-West
This event features fresh vegetables, flowers and other goods from local farmers. On Historic Main Street around the Bell Tower.
