Winterhill Olive Oils offers a variety of olive oils in a “wonderfully energetic and beautiful space,” as owners Annette Schoonover and Richard Wolf pictured when building the foundation of a business with the potential for creating miracles and spreading joy. Inspired by Italy and the magic of olive trees, Schoonover and Wolf developed Winterhill Olive Oils, coined as such from the breathtaking hills and views that accompanied their farm.

Annette and Richard live up to the reputation of having the highest quality olive oils available locally. A favored aspect of Winterhill Olive Oil products is their California Olive Oil Council Certified Extra-virgin olive oils and their pressed-with-the-fruit olive oils that are made 100% extra-virgin. A certification from the California Olive Oil Council is the consumers guarantee that they are getting real extra-virgin olive oils. Winterhill’s oils have won International competitions and continue to be the freshest and healthiest olive oils available anywhere. Winterhill keeps their oils fresh by selling products only from the harvest year. The 2015 harvest includes the following oils: two regular extra-virgin oils (one Tuscan varietal blend, the other a Mission Olive varietal), Meyer Lemon, Blood Orange, Garlic, Persian Lime, Basil, Rosemary, and Jalapeno. Winterhill is proud to offer many other delicious specialty food products created by local artisanal producers. The fun part…you can taste your way through the store!! Winterhill wants you to have fun and be able to taste before you buy.

A philanthropic business, Winterhill supports two developmentally disabled artists by placing their artwork on their labels and placing a percentage of profit from those label sales into the artists’ schools. They also support conservation of resources by offering a refill program that allows customers to return their bottles or bring their own and receive a 40% discount for recycling that glass. In addition to recycling glass and helping artists, Schoonover and Wolf make sure that their oils are “high quality oils at an affordable price” and place many donations “to support our community, the community that supports us.” Some events at Winterhill include complimentary tasting parties, an evening of fun facts and food, in order to show the health benefits of the oils and how to use them in cooking and baking. These events are well attended in a great part due to the staff that holds these events.
