Serendipity means finding the unexpected in unexpected places. Our wonderful Serendipity shop is located in a charming little 1850’s home, truly a rarity. Formerly Lofty Lou’s Yarn Shop, we stand right between Sweetie Pie’s and Main Street Melters on Main Street. There is plenty of parking in two nearby lots and on the street.
Upon entering Serendipity, you will find a farmstyle decor filled with some great antique finds from drying racks, potato planters and baskets, herb gathering baskets, a fruit press, early cooking implements and much more. Antique and painted furniture compliment the space with Dash and Albert area rugs, chosen florals, signs, mirrors, grunge candles and art.
Browse in the former kitchen at Serendipity covered by the timeworn flooring and early windows. Check out the little boutique filled with carefully chosen, gently used designer clothing, jewelry, small treasures and art. Meander toward the back of the home and you will discover a charming assortment of vintage furnishings, accessories and art arranged by our very own home-stager and artist. The space reflects current color trends, revitalizing the old, and accenting with carefully chosen accessories. Our little garden room is a work in progress. Take a peek in there for ideas!
Although the house in which Serendipity is located has been a retail establishment for many years and walls have been removed, our most frequent customer comment is “I’d like to live here—it’s so welcoming!” We like to think it’s a reflection of not only the historical significance of the building, but the serendipity of the treasures found inside!
Let Judy (formerly of the Red Geranium), Cheryl, and Stacey welcome you to Serendipity. Look for further info on our Sunday Wholesale Market and Wednesday Savings!
