Pizza Bene Napolatana PizzaPizza Bene has been on owner Ben Butler’s mind for a long time! A few years ago, Ben stopped at Tony’s Pizzeria in San Francisco for lunch and he was hooked! He just had to open a Napoletano-style pizzeria in Placerville.

Pizza Bene opened in April, 2014, at 423 Main Street, right by Placerville’s famous Bell Tower. He and his great staff are now working hard to bring the Napoletano-style pizza and culture to Placerville.

Pizza Bene actually has a Maria Forni pizza oven (“the Ferrari of pizza ovens”) where you can actually watch the pizza cooking.

Everything about Pizza Bene is the best it can be: the crust is made with twice-milled imported Caputo Italian flour (GMO free) and the tomato sauce is made from canned fresh tomatoes with a little extra virgin olive oil and the interior of the can is sealed so that the metal doesn’t change the flavor of the tomatoes.

Pizza Bene also serves great salads and will be adding pasta dishes, Italian appetizers, fresh bread and decidedly decadent desserts. If you haven’t yet tried Pizza Bene, try it and Ben thinks you won’t ever forget it!
