Free stagecoach rides on Historic Main Street will be featured every 3rd Saturday of the month in GOOD weather (except June & September) and are provided by Davey “Doc” Wiser and his cowboy crew.

Hangtown Car ShowThis classic car show is always a crowd pleaser. Sponsored by the Placerville Lions Club, Downtown Placerville hosts the fan favorite each year. In between all the fabulous cars, you will find many wonderful shops and restaurants to explore, making this the perfect event for everyone to enjoy. Admission and parking are free for spectators.

Banners on Parade, June – mid-October

Banners on ParadeThis community art project presented by Placerville Art on Parade features painted banners on light poles along Main Street in Placerville. This is the 14th annual collaborative effort of artists, businesses, organizations, individuals and city government that promotes the arts in historic downtown Placerville.

The major sponsor of the Banners on Parade for 2018 is Images of Hope. The beautiful banners are displayed on Main Street and sold at a silent auction during the October 20th Art & Wine Festival.

Hangtown Days, Saturday June 9, 2pm to 8pm

Wagon Train & Street DanceFeaturing Wagon Train and a Street Dance

Join us as Placerville’s Historic Main Street goes back in time to greet the Wagon Train. The street will be festooned and time travelers will be strolling in anticipation of what the wagon train will bring.

The Highway 50 Association’s 69th annual reenactment trek begins in Nevada and culminates right here on Main Street with games, activities, food and beverages and shopping specials.

Live music will be ongoing and the street will be closed for dancing. Bring the family for a fun-filled historic day. For more information, call 530-303-8186.

Bell Tower Brewfest, Saturday June 23, 6pm-9pm

Bell Tower BrewfestThis year’s Bell Tower Brewfest will feature 35+ breweries, cideries, meaderies, and wineries, with local gourmet restaurants, a cigar lunge, and music and entertainment. Come and take in the sights of Historic Main Street Placerville and join us for a night to remember at this community focused and inspired event.

Must be 21+ years of age to purchase tickets. General Admission is $35 for unlimited tastings. VIP tickets are $45 and include early entry at 5pm a larger tasting glass with unlimited tastings, and a reusable farmers market style swag bag. Prices increase June 9th.

Antique Street Faire, August 26, 9am-3pm

Antique FaireThe 30th annual Antique Street Faire is moving to its new date this year. Peddlers and Pickers alike will fill Main Street with treasures from a bygone era.

Food and refreshments will be available for purchase at this free event.

Hangtown Thursday Night Car Show, August 30, 5-8pm

Hangtown Thursday Evening Car ShowSponsored by the Placerville Lions Club and hosted by the Placerville Downtown Association, this Thursday evening car show is a great way to spend a hot August night.

Parking is free after 4pm and admission is free to spectators. So plan to have a nice dinner downtown and stroll among some beautiful and rare automobiles.

Pink in the Night, October 1-31

Pink in the NightOctober is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and pink lights help promote the work of Images of Hope and Marshall Medical Center in the fight against this disease. All the pink lights are provided by Images of Hope.

Images of Hope will hold a fundraiser on October 20th during the Art and Wine Festival. It will be at Flowers on Main, 318 Main Street from 6-9pm.

Art & Wine FestivalThis year’s Art and Wine Festival is taking it up a notch! We will have more on street art offerings and live music.

We will continue to host our wineries within the shops to allow for and encourage exploration of our wonderfully unique small businesses and art galleries. Merchants will be offering food pairings designed to highlight the wines they serve and our local restaurants will be available for dinners as well.


Trick or Treat on Main Street, Wednesday October 31, 4pm-6pm

Trick or Treat on Main StreetMain Street closes to traffic and the merchants greet young and old alike at the doors of their stores with candy in this time honored tradition. The smiles are big and plenty on this afternoon and the cuteness factor is off the charts.

There will be music and a costume contest at the Bell Tower hosted by the local Active 20-30 Club and the Placerville Lions Clubs will host a Carnival for children 10 and under at Town Hall.

Festival of Lights, Friday November 23, 5:30pm-8pm

Festival of LightsJoin friends, family and neighbors on Historic Main Street to welcome in the Holidays together. The street closes to traffic and shops stay open late. Beverages are available for purchase on the street and restaurants are ready to serve on this very special night.

There will be music, FREE stagecoach rides, entertainment, visits with Santa, and of course, the tree lighting at 6pm.
